| Zusammenfassung: | This article scrutinises the meaning of ???????? in Hebrews 9:15-22. By examining the pertinent lexical and translation factors and the nature of Hellenistic wills in the light of examples taken from the Oxyrhynchus Papyrus, the writer applies these criteria to an understanding of the argument of Hebrews 9:15-22. He concludes that the word can there only mean 'testament' and not 'covenant'. |
