| Zusammenfassung: | The locus classicus for any enquiry into the meaning of the Christological concept ""the incarnate Word"" is John 1: 14. This famous verse, which for so many centuries of church-history has played an important role in Christological reflection and which Herman Ridderbos rightly calls the climax of the Prologue,is inseparably interrelated with the whole of the Prologue. Its interpretation will, therefore, to a large extent be determined by the way we approach the Prologue as a whole. |
