Description
Summary:This paper deals to analyze the women roles in the pre-Roman Celtic religion. For that the social practices should be revised, as well the gender roles and structures that should be present in this culture. In the same way, the study about the cosmological and mythological compound, the main component of the religious structural framework, would make easier the understanding of the female divinities, if we can identify as such. On the other hand, the women participation as ritual specialist is one of the issues that more interest has raised for the researchers. In addition, this paper tries to identify the possibility of female perform of druidic practices and, in this case, if they should be considered ‘druidess’, equal in relation to the term ‘druid’.
