Описание
Итог:The concept of religious development is examined by way of analyzing several relevant theories, and indicating cognitive, emotional, motivational, and behavioral aspects. An extended developmental model is suggested. The specific role of cognition for religious development is explored within that frame. The issue is not restricted to the development of logico-mathematical thinking sensu Piaget, but importantly concerns involvement of emotions and action, competence in epistemic cognition, the use of other forms of thought such as analogical thinking as well as relational and contextual reasoning (RCR), and ontological development. Two case studies of religious world view development in childhood and adolescence illustrate these points.
