| Summary: | Educational institutions are social places where cultures, religions and identities as well as associated social positions and opportunities for participation are negotiated. Since they are structured by the discourses, orders and Ideas about what is normal in public spaces, they have a highly selective effect. The legitimation of powerful distinctions is often hidden in complex intersectional figures of reasoning, which are not always reflexively accessible to the pedagogically acting persons. Thus, in this article, I develop a discourse-sensitive heuristic that should enable us to reconstruct practices of differentiation, to deconstruct binary codings maintaining power relations, and to open up spaces of negotiation to deal with them. Bildungseinrichtungen sind gesellschaftliche Orte, an denen Kulturen, Religionen und Identitäten sowie damit verbundene soziale Positionen und Partizipationsmöglichkeiten ausgehandelt werden. Da sie von den Diskursen, Ordnungen und Normalitätsvorstellungen des öffentlichen Raumes strukturiert sind, wirken sie hoch selektiv. Die Legitimation machtvoller Unterscheidungen verbirgt sich oft in komplexen intersektionalen Begründungsfiguren, die den pädagogisch handelnden Personen nicht immer reflexiv zugänglich sind. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird daher eine diskurssensible Heuristik entfaltet, die dazu befähigen soll, Differenzierungspraktiken zu rekonstruieren, binäre Codierungen als Trägerinnen von Machtverhältnissen zu dekonstruieren und Aushandlungsräume für deren Bearbeitung zu erschließen. |
