Description
Summary:This study seeks to answer the question of how the biblical references in the Canons of Dordt influenced the annotations in the margin of the "Statenvertaling" (Authorized Version). Using the Microsoft Excel digital spreadsheet to analyse the results of existing research, the article illustrates how biblical references in the Canons of Dordt and the Heidelberg Catechism can be adequately compared, and then compares the marginal notes of the Deux-Aes Bible with the annotations of the Authorized Version. The conclusions shows that more than 25% of the relevant vocabulary in the annotations is found in the Canons of Dordt, but not in the quoted texts of the Authorized Version.
