Résumé:Advances in the sciences have heavily influenced the manner in which archaeology is conducted in recent years in Israel. In the past decade, this has also impacted the archaeological research of Jerusalem, applying innovative methods and taking a leap into the future with new approaches. In this article we wish to highlight the contribution of the scientific toolkit to the research of chronology, connectivity, foodways, environment and identity in ancient Jerusalem.
