Description
Summary:‘The fashion of the world is passing away’, cautioned the Apostle Paul two millenia ago. This presentation will examine those sources within the tradition which, rather than lamenting a lost stability, see the cycle of genesis and phthora, coming-into-being and passing-away, as the process by which God is bringing all of creation to the final outcome intended from the beginning. This, as we will see, requires taking seriously the gospel proclamation that life comes through death, a gift that in turn frees creation to flourish in a way we now cannot even imagine.
