In particular, I argue that the authentic beginning of the work presented a girl, a κόρη, sold as a slave in Rome. Various philological considerations and several literary parallels support this reconstruction.L’article fournit une série d’arguments, illustrés d’exemples, en faveur d’une nouvelle reconstitution du début du Pasteur d’Hermas. En particulier, je soutiens que l’exorde originel de l’œuvre présentait une jeune fille, une κόρη, vendue comme esclave à Rome. Diverses considérations philologiques et plusieurs parallèles littéraires soutiennent cette reconstruction.
