Description
Summary:Apocalyptic productions are plentiful in the creative panorama of the 21st century, often starring vampires and zombies. In some of them, a whole series of religious resignifications are elaborated, linking Christianity with vampirism and the zombie. In this context, the figure of Mary Magdalene appears, on occasions, reformulated with important feminist connotations. This is the case both in the film Jesuschrist Vampire Hunter (Lee Demarbre, 2001) and in the short film Zombie Jesus (Carla Siegle, 2014). Both productions, to which others join to demonstrate that they are not an exception, present a knowledge of both the Scriptures and studies from feminist theology, aspects that make up the main focus of attention in this study.
