Résumé:The article deals with the religious situation, contradictions on religious grounds, and the emergence and development of radical religious views during the period of independence of Kazakhstan. The aim is to analysis traditional religions or the traditional approach to Islam in Kazakhstan based on studying the problem of religious identity. The historical theory of relativity, methods of generalization, content analysis, and classification are the basis of the study. As a result of the study, links were found between religious manifestations and secular principles, and the features of the Kazakhstani model in the relationship between the state and religion were formulated.
