The article introduces the most outstanding modern Arab dramatists shortly examining their works - among those are: Nu'man 'Asur, Lutfi al-Huli, Yusuf Idris, Mahmud Diyab, Sa'dallah Wannus, 'Isam Mahfuz, Samih al-Qasim, Yusuf al-'Ani, 'Izz-ad-Din al-Madani and at-Taiyib as-Siddiqi.
