| Summary: | A cronologia que se apresenta neste artigo, permite colocar em ordem os principais acontecimentos que, directa ou indirectamente, marcaram a história do Protestantismo lusófono. Apesar de Portugal não ter tido o privilégio de conhecer a Reforma, e do tardio interessedos portugueses pelo Protestantismo, este acabou por efectivamente chegar até nós com vitalidade e expressão, a partir dos princípios do século XIV, ultrapassando impedimentos legais e ilegais, lutas e perseguições levantadas, quer pela Igreja católica quer pelas monarquias e ditaduras. É nosso desejo que, no futuro, esta cronologia possa ser aumentada e melhorada, através do contributo de mais investigadores que trabalhem na recuperação da história do Protestantismo português e do Protestantismo lusófono. The chronology that we present in this article, allows us to put in order the main events that directly or indirectly marked the Portuguese Protestantism history. Despite Portugal didn't have the privilege of knowing the Reform, and the late interest of the Portuguese for Protestantism, it effectively arrive to us with vitality and expression at the beginning of the XIV century, overtaking legal and illegal barriers, struggles and persecutions raised either by the Catholic Church, the monarchy or dictatorship. Our wish is that, in the future, this chronology may be enlarged and improved by the contribution of further investigators working in the recovery of the Portuguese Protestantism and Portuguese Protestantism history. |
