Summary: | Beyond the foundational learning touted by some liberal arts campuses offering loosely affiliated general education courses, or the narrow view of agency in the world presented by an in loco parentis model of colleges with religious affiliations, our students must go into the world to build up the church and society by serving out the callings upon their lives, both in their vocations and avocations. They should bear a unique stamp as a reflective summation of their experiences, wherever they might attend college—a setting where faith is integrated with learning in a critical analysis of enduring texts and the ideas at work in them. |
