Description
Summary:Postconciliar disagreements on the faith-reason and natural-supernatural distinctions peculiar to Catholic theology, it is claimed, reflect an underlying problem introduced by Kant into modem thought. After discussing the wider philosophical context of such thought, the author demonstrates its influence on the inner-ecclesial debate before attempting a synthetic solution inspired by the recent encyclical Fides et Ratio and based on the existential primacy of love over knowledge.
