| Riepilogo: | The Holy and Great Council of Crete (2016) was undoubtedly a historic event for the Orthodox Church. During the post-conciliar period, concerning the reception and application of the Council, two main questions arose: on the canonical and moral authority of the Council, and on the modes of the application of the conciliar provisions. Moreover, other issues of ecclesiological nature arose, such as; the relationship between hierarchy and faithful, the representativeness of the councils (are councils of "some" bishops legitimate or the participation of the whole episcopate is required?), the function of the consensus fidelium, etc. This essay will try to outline a possible answer to these inquiries, on the basis of the consciousness of the Council of Crete and the pre-synodal procedures, with the help of some theological principles on the nature and function of the Church. Il Santo e Grande Concilio della Chiesa Ortodossa (Creta, 2016) è stato un evento storico per l'Ortodossia contemporanea. Durante la fase post-conciliare, riguardante la recezione e applicazione del Concilio, sono sorte principalmente due domande: qual è stata l'autorità canonico-morale dell'assise e quali i modi per l'applicazione dell'insegnamento conciliare. In seno a tali interrogativi si sono inserite poi questioni di natura ecclesiologica, come per esempio quelle sul rapporto tra gerarchia e popolo, sulla rappresentatività dei concili (sono i concili di alcuni vescovi legittimi o si richiede la partecipazione di tutto l'episcopato?) e sulla funzione del consensus fidelium, ecc. In questo saggio si cercherà di delineare una possibile risposta sulla base dell'operato stesso del Concilio di Creta e del percorso presinodale, con l'aiuto di alcuni principi teologici sulla natura e funzione della Chiesa. |
