總結: | Is (extreme) poverty simply another form of vulnerability? In reality, the two need to be carefully distinguished. The poverty of some people is an ethical challenge, precisely because it calls into question our concept of a common vulnerability.Poverty and vulnerability differ in their relationship to violence, knowledge, and commitment, so that poverty appears more as a multiplier of vulnerability. Nevertheless, poverty and vulnerability can be distinguished from the perspective of the covenant, as presented in the Exodus narrative: while poverty appears as the opposite of the covenant, vulnerability is revealed as a disposition towards the covenant. |
