Summary: | Is it possible to draw an analogy between the type of relationship demanded by people living in very precarious conditions (a relationship based on a simple "because it’s you") and the biblical covenant? Those who are pushed to the edge of society are asking a silent question: "Can we recognise ourselves as members of the same human family?" In so doing, they are forcing us to move from a logic of exchange governed by utility to a logic of covenant, in other words, to hear the call of those we care about. |
