Description
Summary:Professor Gabino Uríbarri Bilbao argues that Joseph Ratzinger denies the human freedom of Jesus Christ. If that were the case, his salvific capacity would be affected. Thus, considering the serious criticism that the German theologian is not faithful to the Councils of Chalcedon and Constantinople III, neither in letter nor in spirit, the article shows that the fusion of natural wills on the personal level does not entail the suppression of the human will of Jesus Christ. The key is to understand what meaning Ratzinger gives to the word Verschmelzung, which emerges not only from the contexts in which it appears under suspicion, but also from other occasions in which this word is also used.
