| Summary: | Among the rights of the faithful, the right to good reputation and privacy is one of the most appreciated today. Canon law provides for specific disciplines and institutes which, while protecting these fundamental needs of the individual, at the same time ensure a just protection of the Church from a sacramental, institutional and pastoral point of view, with regard to values considered inalienable. In fact, these instruments intend to provide an adequate context so that the faithful may be open to supernatural grace and truth and so that the Church may fulfil her function with regard to the salvation of souls. Tra i diritti dei fedeli, quello alla buona fama e alla riservatezza è oggi uno dei piu apprezzati. Il diritto canonico prevede discipline ed istituti peculiari che, mentre tutelano queste fondamentali esigenze dell'individuo, assicurano nel contempo una giusta protezione della Chiesa dal punto di vista sacramentale, istituzionale e pastorale in ordine a valori ritenuti irrinunciabili. Si tratta infatti di strumenti che lungi dal voler dissimulare fatti o situazioni, intendono predisporre un contesto adeguato affinché il fedele possa aprirsi alla grazia soprannaturale e alla verità e la Chiesa possa quindi svolgere la sua funzione in ordine alla salvezza delle anime. |
