Description
Summary:This essay presents two programmes of study, both of them initialized about forty years ago in order to offer options for students of Christian theology to stay and study in Jerusalem. One of them fosters a deeper understanding of both biblical exegesis and ecumenical richness of Christianity within the context of the Holy Land; the other particularly strives to renew Christian-Jewish relations out of a first-hand knowledge of Modern Hebrew, classical texts of Rabbinic Judaism, Jewish thought and modern multi-faceted Judaism. Thus, both programmes of study are to be seen as illuminating examples for what might be called transnational educational research.
